I have absolutely no idea on how to go about making a half wall with metal roofing panels. (My DIY skills are lacking, as described in our build thread.) However, we have quite a bit of reclaimed lumber from our renovation so I wanted to figure out a way to attach corrugated panels to our cinder block wall and use our existing lumber to create the baseboards and chair rail. Kinda hard to see but I had some old diamond plate aluminum that I cut and made a backsplash on my benches just for the reasons you stated, welding sparks against the OSB wall worried me. Now its a non issue. Also the rest of my entire shop is covered with an 8' wall of roofing tin. Keeps the insulation protected from the occasional "flying" screwdriver or wrench I have absolutely no idea on how to go about making a half wall with metal roofing panels. To cut regular corrugated roof tin, use a circular saw with an old blade and put the blade on the saw backwards. It'll slice right through with a clean cut. Use ear protection - it makes one hell of a racket. As for sticking to a cinderblock wall, I'd just use some spots of construction adhesive. If you expect to have to remove panels in the future, use clear silicone to stick the panels. They will come off, but it'll be a fight. Construction or panel adhesive has good grab and will stick 'em up quick.
