One injured in Truro OUI crash Sunday
TRURO - Truro police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 6 near the entrance to the transfer station around 3 p.m. Sunday, according to a Truro police release. The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis with injuries considered to be non life-threatening, police said.
According to police, the second driver, Peter Black , 67, of Boston, was arrested at the scene and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger and marked lanes violations. Black was processed at the Truro Police Station, then released on his on recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Orleans District Court on Tuesday.
Holiday traffic on Route 6 was detoured for a short time while the scene was cleared, police said.
Officer Jeremiah Valli is investigating the accident.

Wellfleet two-vehicle crash on Route 6 sends four to the hospital Sunday
WELLFLEET - Members of the Wellfleet Police and Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 near Kerouach Road Sunday around 5 p.m., according to a Wellfleet police release. Wellfleet, and neighboring Eastham Fire/Rescue, transported four people to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis with injuries considered to be non life-threatening, police said.
According to police, a section of Route 6 from School Street to Briar Lane was shut down for nearly an hour and a half while Wellfleet firefighters cleared hazardous materials from the scene of the crash.

Dennis police arrest five in Thursday warrant sweep
DENNIS - Last Thursday, Dennis police initiated a warrant sweep which led to the arrest of five people throughout the Mid Cape town, according to a Dennis police release. The directed patrol was part of an initiative created by the Barnstable, Yarmouth and Dennis police departments which identifies "hot spots" where authorities have observed an increase in drug-related crimes, police said.
