Halo is a series of video games for the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox. Halo 1 was released arround 2001 and introduced a lot of things which are now common in the FPS genre (first person shooter). You wake up in a cryogenic cell as Spartan; a super soldier with more skills then a average soldier, such as bullet and laser protection, the abilty to breath under water and in space, and more. You are the last of the spartans because almost all were killed on a planet named Reach which was destroyed two weeks prior to the games beggining. Your name is John-117, more commonly known as Master Chief. the ship your on is a spaceship called “The pillar of Autumn” where you meet an AI named Cortanna. The ship is quickly invaded by aliens called “the covenent” and you get on an escape vehicle and crash land on a ring world called HALO. You get to kill aliens such as unngoy (grunts), sangheli (elites), Kar-Yag (jackals), and in the second game you fight Jiralhanae (brutes). The Covenent are led by San ‘shyuum, also called Prophets. They (the covenent) think that HALO will give them lots of power, really halo will activate six other HALO’s that will kill every one in this galaxy and every other galaxy. You can use sniper rifles, assault rifles, rocket launchers, shotguns, pistols and alien weapons. There are also tanks, warthogs (jeeps with a large mounted gun on the back), and much more. The main series (not including the two prequels; Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach) has three games and one being released in 2012. The 3rd game has a map creation mode. Halo is famous for its multiplayer; it has capture the flag, deathmatch, and more. Campaign. The campaign is continuation of Halo 2. The best of the series and has a good story. My only big complaint is sometimes when you beat it on the highest difficulty the bonus scene in the ending wont activate. Also The second level wasn’t as fun as the others. It had an epic ending with a traditional hidden Grunt (a low ranking alien) who talks to you just like the previous games and the Grunt will say “Hey! the jerk store called. they are all out of you!”. And you can also find skulls that change gameplay when you activate them at the main menu; like when turning on IWHBYD enemys will say less common dialog. 9.
